There are many examples of companies affected negatively by this policy. The main ones are Iberia, TAP, Aer Lingus, Air France or Olympic. These airlines are often offering new discount to passengers in order to have the minimum amount of passengers required to make a flight gainful. Another problem that many of these airlines are experiencing is that the European Union in many cases, give more regional aids to low-cost airlines. One of the main examples that is vital in order to understand the complaints of these companies is the problem of Iberia. This airlines is the most important one in Spain. In the last year, Iberia sued Ryan Air because this low-cost airline has received many aids from the European Union. The problem that affected Iberia was that Ryan Air was taking advantage of this money in order to make Iberia lose passengers. For this reason, Iberia started a legal battle so as to let Ryan Air lose these incentives..
